With [Gerrard] playing like this, a few Liverpool fans will probably be texting or tweeting in to say they CAN still win the league.
They probably did just that tbf.

I love all the references to Gerrard's return being 'great for England'. Yeah, he's always done so much for England.

total one man team that lot. Gerrard is a good player but let's be honest, stephen hawking would look like bryan robson in between charlie Adam and Spearing ffs.

love the way even the commentators can't keep up the pretence that adam is any better at the dippers than he was at blackburn now they keep hauling him off halfway through the second half.

Got to say he was pretty anonymous at blackburn.

Adam doesn't have the mobility to play in a 4-4-2. Blackpool built the team around him with runners in midfield to do the legwork. You'd have thought Dalglish would have noticed this as he had plenty of time to watch football in between jobs. £9 million well wasted.

Looked like he was playing for a completely different team at times.

Much as I dislike him, hate him even, I must say that there are few finer sights in football than Stevie G embarking on one of his powering, cutting runs straight through the heart of the opposing defence - sensing the crowd awaken from its lugubrious, collective stupor; then shifting forward, at first imperceptibly, towards the edges of their seats, towards the chasm, towards the darkness, towards hope, towards the light; finally they rise as one and let slip their tongues as that flash of brilliant red lightning explodes across the slightly muddied winter grass. The despair of so many wasted lives transformed to pure joy, if only for a fleeting moment. A goal, yes, but not just a goal. Good to have you back, Stevie. We missed you.
