Pat had settled fine by Liverpool at home for my money.

Darmian started the season excellently, looked so confident and assured. Was like having Pat in his pomp back in Shaw with Darmian having the right on lockdown.

This 2 holding midfielders does the fullbacks no favors as it complicates the roles. £#%&!ing Carrick or Schweiny as the player that helps double up and joins the defence depending in charge side is attacking . Worked fine last season and even had Fellaini playing well and brings the best out of Mata and Herrera. We also have 2 midfielders able to take up attacking positions.

One of the biggest problems we make for ourselves is by having the 2 midfielders naturally deep, because of that Herrera is automatically isolated and often double marked when one of our holding midfielders takes control of the ball, there will be another deep player and one/Herrera ahead as a link to the forwards/wide men. If playing one holding player we then have two ahead covering each side if the pitch so there is a choice of two who then in turn are in better positions to bring the wide player in to the game. Having Blind at Centre half negates the need for another holding midfielder when in possession.

By having just the one advanced midfielder it means we dwell on the ball too much in the middle trying to make space and keeping possession which gives the opposition team plenty of time to get in position and facing the ball which in turn makes it easier for them to defend against us.

Bit stoned so if owt needs explaining just say. It make sense in my head.

Fellaini's place in the squad needs to go as does Jones'. Fellaini has managed to play himself back out of the squad after a pretty decent 015 and it looks like Jones might not happen as injuries continue to be ridiculous still not even 24 yet though.

New Centre half and then we've got Blind and Rojo as cover. The injuries have been that much of a joke some positions we have effectively had 3 out.

Got to be Stones, hasn't it? I think Blind has done a good job but he's not a long-term answer, especially in this league.

He'll be a quality squad player, though.

Yeah it really does he's made a step up with the spotlight on him after all the Chelsea interest, plough in balls on the table give me what they want. Stay up North lad.

Aye, plenty of games to be had at left back and in midfield for Daley. 3/4 of the back 4 England could really help out internationally.

Whatever it takes for my money.

Fee a total irrelevance, it sorts out 3/4s of the back 4 for yeeeeeaaaaaaaars.....

Darmian does not look a good enough athlete for this league. He might adapt but every week he is having to cope with wide players who are stronger and quicker than him and it wears him down. He can improve his stamina as he adjusts to the pace of the league but he just might be better in a slower league. The likes of Gervinho and Cuadrado excel as wide players in Serie A.

Improve that element of his game and he will still have his lack of quality as an attacker holding him back. Hoped not to be saying this, but we are badly missing Valencia.

A bit strange singling him out.
There's plenty of more experienced players who had uninspiring performances.

You say he's shite, but tbf, he was good until he played for LvG. So was Di Maria, Depay, Schneiderlin...

He might actually be just plain old shite though, and what I've just mentioned is completely irrelevant.

Alright, Rojo, also shit, if he was naturally right footed he would be nowhere near the club.

Really shouldn't be getting any more minutes as he has no future at the club and is an utter liability on the pitch
I'd rather have Donald £#%&!ing Love at right back

Is he capable of finding a red shirt with a pass or a header

Useless

You think?
Rojo was one of our stronger players imo. One of the only players matching them for aggression.

Then play him at CB and replace Blind who is having a dip in form. Not good enough going forward from full back, consistently balloons crosses. A decent defender but you need to be more than that to play FB at a top club. Bojack has a lot to learn defensively but he has good feet, excellent delivery and is very composed on the ball, should come back in when fit.

Agreed.
Hasn't blind played every league game?
I think if anyone plays that many games they'd find themselves having a dip in form.
