But yeah, fair point
Dzeko scored 29 in Serie A last season and is on 9 past the halfway point this

Drogba is one, but again as with Ronaldo we’re talking about extending the peak until 31/32, not longer. Most other positions on the pitch players breeze past 30.

p.s Inzaghi’s last season as a definite starter he was 29

And possibly a little drop off during his last season. Goal return was down on any other year.

Back to Argentina to play for Independiente imo, suits everyone in that he doesn't go to a rival and he gets to go home, where he always said he'll return. City will cook the books something rotten, claiming a massive fee but end up paying him for about 5 more years

None of the Arg clubs have the cash do they?

They'll probably ship him off to one of the other "Franchises" they have scattered around the world. NY to replace Villa? Keep him in the City family etc

Fowler, Owen, Rooney, all finished by 30. Something in the water over there.

With today's diets and training, hitting 30 in 2018 is a lot different that hitting it in 1997. We'll get 3 or so peak years out of him nm.qat

How many forwards can you think of over the last twenty years whose game was reliant on that element of explosiveness, pace or energy, rather than being a target man, who were as good at 31 as they were at 29. Shevchenko another who just seemed to bomb just before 30.

Only forward I can think of is Robben. When fit he’s still brilliant. Must be another few....

He is similar to Robben though. Still electric pace. See how he holds up next season.

Yes. 350k p/w over 4 years for a guy like Sanchez who has been playing every summer for years and relies on his speed and agility. Hoping for a short term boost because in 18 months to 2 years that could easily be a contract the club are desperate to get rid of.

Wouldn't touch him at full price because of that concern(along with issues with his attitude) On the cheap though? Hard to turn down.
