Switching Off

Football Today's Games 07/03/2015

Bradford v Reading on BT Sport freeview now. Pitch looks awful

Spurs v QPR in the league at 3.

Villa and West Brom on BBC at teatime.

Delighted for BT sport trying to get viewers in for this shitfest.

Here you go, BT. All those 'upsets' and 'giant killings' you were so desperate for - here's the result.

Thank £#%&! we weren't drawn away to Bradford

It would take us a few weeks to get over playing on that pitch

so true.

It's the same tedious narrative every £#%&!ing bastard year.
'The Magic Of The Cup' - the reason it only happens in the FA Cup is because it's the only competition where it can actually happen.
If there was a new Cup competition set up next week involving all 92 Clubs (or whatever it is) called The #@&%! Shield you'd still get Blackburn beating Arsenal or Bradford beating Chelsea ...
There's no actual magic in the FA Cup.

I remember in 2004, the Press pandering to plucky Millwall - then we beat them in the Final & the reaction was "ah well, United were so lucky to be playing a lower league team in the Final" (forgetting we'd beat Arsenal in the SF, had our customary Villa Park 3rd round trip & a Manchester derby to get there)
..I've forgotten what my point is tbh, but I agree with you.

It's more or less exactly what the League Cup is.

John Terry, #@&%! Shield winner 2015
