Default Mesut did a madness today, wow

Can't wait to see this lad playing for us. Maybe only a few weeks away?

We all know he can do stuff like that on occasion.

The concerns lie elsewhere.

Is he mentally tough enough to play for the mighty reds?

Lovely player but a major gamble to give this lad a big deal at 30. If he loses interest we’d be stuck with him.

He played for Real Madrid. Then again that didn't help Di @#%&! Maria much.

I dunno, he has moments of quality like that in him sure but when he's bad he's just a passenger and we're already overstocked with those. Hard to get excited about the potential of him signing.

Surprised to see he’s never hit double figures in league goals, not even for Madrid in La Liga.

Only 56 league goals across 12 or so years in his career. Should be scoring more.

I think United need sort out other areas of the team first. Otherwise, Ozil would become yet another Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, Mata, etc.

He’d be a monster for United (every so often, against relevation fodder) imo

Never sign players around 30 who have been there and done it. We should be signing players making a jump to the next stage and hungry for success. Keane, Stam, rvn, Cole, Ferdinand, Rooney, Ronaldo etc.

What are the examples of players approaching 30 who have done it all that united have signed ? Di Maria, Schweinsteiger, who else?

Van persie and sheringham were around 30 but both hadn’t won much and had the desire to do so. And as soon as van persie won the league he turned to shit. Hunger satisfied.
