Distance covered isn’t really a stat that means anything, especially when one of the points being made is that Pogba played a far more disciplined role. As I recall Michael Carrick never topped any distance covered stats

Wasn’t bad is about right. Deschamps has had the same issues with Pogba that mourinho had. Pogba just fell into line because it was the World Cup. No doubt he’ll revert to type now it’s over and his brand enhanced.

Pogba is a commercial business rather than a footballer. Style over substance. Surrounded by people who’ll blow smoke up his arse rather than keep him grounded, which is why no manager is able to challenge him or tell him what to do. Unless there’s a World Cup on for a few weeks and then he’ll comply because it suits him.
