Hard to call how Arsenal will do this season. Arteta does seem to be building a good spirit there and some good young players, but its mismatched squad.

Should be far too strong today though.

They're still Arsenal.

They'll finish 6th at best, new lad at back will be a typical Arsenal donkey.

Heading top.

Their title to lose now IMO.

Cursed them. Another Rona symptom that, apparently.

The Arteta love-in is already getting tedious and the season is only 36 minutes old.

I reckon Ole would get a lot more credit if he bought a nice casual jumper, some distressed jeans and did this more on the touchline:

Proper little Petri dish Pep.

Looks like 3-0 might have been a conservative estimate.

I don't think arsenal under arteta will be as terrible as everyone wants them to be unfortunately. Bit of silverware straight away will help build confidence in what he wants them to do and they're still riding that new manager bounce by the look of it. He seems to have learned a lot from guardiola too, we'll find out how they cope when they lose a couple and if they're as flaky away at the top teams as they usually are.

Scott "Scotty" Parker in the opposite dugout, as suspected, looks completely out his depth. Another new manager who wants to come up and play "nice" football which will have all the established premier league clubs will be rubbing their hands together. It'll get them nothing but hidings all through the season. The worst thing these smaller teams ever did was getting seduced with this £#%&!ing idea that football can only be played one way. Got Bournemouth relegated, got huddersfield relegated and got Norwich relegated. Look at Burnley and Wolves, horrible teams to play against but seem to upset the big teams when they play them, precisely because they play their own way and haven't got a bunch of b-tec Guardiola's/Klopp's in charge.

Arsenal pump newly promoted shit in an empty stadium, hyperbole overdrive

Palace 1-0 Southampton

Zaha with the goal. Poor Wilf is destined to be stuck at Palace for his entire career..

This turned out to be the sort of game Arsenal love. Fulham had absolutely nothing in defence; they were terrible. Look at the space they gave Aubameyang for his second and the defending at that corner. Shocking. Tells us very little about Arsenal who looked quite flimsy in the centre of the park tbh.

Bielsa still doesn’t speak English? That’s got to be a wind up.
