Default VeeGee: "The goals are coming. That is my strong belief."

On the day that champions Chelsea suffered a home defeat to lowly Bournemouth, United manager Louis Van Gaal issued a strong warning to UTD forum pollsters:

Quote:
"The most important thing is you dominate, create and you finish. Football is about scoring goals. The first two basic aspects of football we have done,"

"When you don't finish from a metre in front of an empty goal, you cannot say anything more. You have to finish and that's the only problem we have. We played very well especially in the second half - but you have to finish..."

"The goals are coming. That is my strong belief."
But where will they come from?

Quote:
"The question is would Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero score if they were here?"
"That is a question mark. You never know. I think they would, though."
"We've created enough chances to score, so that was not the problem."

Where do YOU think the goals are going to come from?

Some people have a strong belief in God, the £#%&!ing nutters...doesn't make it true

Having a strong belief is not enough, LVG needs to play a different system

The goals aren't coming.

In fact they are less and less likely to come with each day you remain at the club destroying players.

They're on the way, I have no doubt.

By 2016 we'll be scoring for fun.

He's going to have to buy big in January to get a top striker who can ensure we finish in the top 4.

With Martial as a partner/alternate that leaves a question mark over at least one high profile individual.

I thought we looked much more likely to score with our attacks in the second half yesterday than in most games this season. Hopefully that turns into something tangible.

That Aguero comment is a blatant 'get me a top striker' plea imo.

Had the players on the pitch taken their chances then the score would have been ..

United 2 West Ham 5

Louis only reflected on the chances we missed.

He's just blunt. When he says 'I want Ronaldo', there's no need to read between the lines.

Kick in the teeth for Rooney every time though.

The comments are a great confidence booster for our low on confidence forward players

"No our problems scoring goals are nothing to do with me but instead it's down to the forward players not taking the few chances we create. If only we had 1 of the 3 or 4 best forwards in the world then we might score some goals"

We created chances yesterday ffs. I don't see how it's Louis fault if the @#%&!s can't put the ball in the back of the net it was frustrating but it's not Louis fault.

We are near the bottom of the table for chances created this season

We created more chances yesterday than we have in other matches but it still isn't enough
West Ham had as many if not better chances than we did
