That’s the point though; he’ll get goals, but to the detriment of the team, and not enough goals to justify his position, and he isn’t a good enough footballer to make up the difference, so he becomes a hindrance and is eventually dropped or replaced by someone who may score less but is a much better player and better for the team, then he gets £#%&!ed off.

Not sure about that. He actually played and produced for us. Scored off the bench and knew where the goal was.

Closest to ole off the bench. Loved playing for United too

In his time at Utd he had the 4th highest goals per minute ratio in Premier League history behind only Aguerro, Henry & Van Nistelrooy.

As somebody else mentioned, he did for Utd what Solskjaer did . He came on & scored important goals . You don't have to be a great footballer to be a striker, all you need to do is score plenty of goals. That is the currency of a striker. A great option to have on the bench.
