Did Moyes and LVG shun RVP cos he was finished after 6 amazing months or did their preference for Rooney destroy RVP?

Just remember his "next season will be better - trust me" knowing grin interview and how it didn't quite work out that way.

iirc he was injured quite often during the moyes season.

didn't look the same by the time van gaal arrived.

He never recovered from Fergie retiring. I’ve never seen a drop off in performance like that from one season to the next.

Perhaps understandably, he was even more gutted about Moyes taking over than most of us.
