Default Ireland v England match at Aviva

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-11967526

Quote:
The Republic of Ireland could be set to play England in a friendly international at the Aviva stadium according to RTE reports.

Talks are reportedly underway between the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and the Football Association to secure the match.

It would be the first senior international between the two teams since 1995 when rioting forced the game to be abandoned.

The provisional date is 8 June 2011.

It is reported that the game could be worth an estimated €4m in value to the FAI.

Doubt it, Englandfans has pretty much seen an end to that kinda stuff in recent years. Such a game would see very strict vetting before tickets are handed out.

Yeah, but you can pretty much guarantee every Danny Dyer wannabee NF nutcase will go. Plus it's hard to enforce football banning orders for places that you don't need a paaport to get to. They'll probably quite a few Rangers fans there as well

Whoever thought this game up is a bit stupid, it's just asking for trouble.

If there's any coin throwing from the England fans remember its a loan, not to keep.

Britain & Ireland aren't in the Schengen area

The biggest thread will be from Barstool Republicans tbh

You can travel to Ireland with just a drivers license though, all those who will have their passport confiscated due to football banning orders will still be able to travel.

Well they have to pay the wages of the highest paid administrator and the second highest paid international manager in the world somehow.

Takes a bit of doing for a league with 10 teams, all of which are bankrupt or on the verge

Oh don't worry, they'll get it back with interest. 1995 hasn't been forgotten.

Still anyone wanting to cause trouble won't be able to afford it.

If it had been in Croke Park I'd expect trouble, Landsdown Road is around the most well to do area in Dubin.
