Default Anelka having medical at west brom

Quote:
French striker Nicolas Anelka is having a medical at West Brom.

The 34-year-old, who has already played in the Premier League for five different teams, spent the latter half of last season at Juventus after leaving Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

Anelka won Premier League titles with Arsenal and Chelsea and the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2000.

Very definition of journeyman. More £#%&!ing clubs than Tiger Woods.

I think West Brom would be his 11th.

Just saw his goal scoring record on SSN and it's pretty shit for such a high profile player. About 1 in 3 and even at Arsenal it wasn't that great

He looked £#%&!ing good at Arsenal though, and *always* seemed to play a blinder against us. A wasted talent, nqat.

He joined them in a loan move during the January transfer window, and according to wikipedia he did indeed play 3 games for them.

Too many high-profile clubs to be what I think of as a journeyman, and clearly very talented. More of a waster.

A journey man isn't someone who goes from club to club or travels a lot. He's basically a passenger i.e. he's being carried by better players. He's just along for the ride or making up the numbers. He's not a shit player but he's nothing special.

Micky Phelan was one in his playing days.

This.

The first of Wengers buy em low, sell em high players. Great talent, but Leeds aside, played for every @#%&! club he could. Hope Lukaku eats him.

Yep. His mate (Tigana) was sacked a couple of months after he joined and he took over.
