Rooney and Carrick should only ever be subs or play in games like this at best, I think that's clear enough. Young is fine.


The penalties were awful but who cares. We did enough to win it in normal time IMO and boro were incredibly lucky with that second penalty shout in particular.

Very few players tonight who played more than an hour will start at the weekend. Smalling, Rojo, Martial (was he on for an hour) and I suppose Rooney if he starts. Which he will of course.


No danger. Entertaining enough game.
