That's the way I saw it too. Scholes almost had to do the job of a whole midfield today. He was the only one providing anything creatively, and found himself having to make a lot of interceptions and tackles in our half too. Meanwhile Fletcher flounced about on the right wing to little effect.

Fletcher was very ineffective in the game but why do united insist on playing him out wide? he has never had a good game out there, much better in centre of midfield as proven in a number of games this season.

I thought he was outstanding, he and Scholsey ran the whole game.

Best Scholes peformance this season yesterday was, 2nd half he was everywhere!
