More chance of us re-signing Ronaldo than Ferguson bringing Alonso to OT.

Cleverley is the future.

Kaka, playing in a role at Milan that dictated the tempo, the gaps he made from his running with the ball, the focus he demands from the opposition who would be set-up to stop him carrying the ball through the middle of the pitch etc... it allows a good team to exploit the expectation they have of his impact. You almost use him as a sacraficial pawn... & if the oppo fall for it & give him too much attention, you blindside them with the other multitude of great players these sides have. Or, they don't fall for, it try to take them on, and get £#%&!ed by him. Like we did when he ran straight through us & his superbly economical & direct use of the ball meant we got nowhere near him over 180mins.

The Pro Evo generation are incapable of seeing past statistics imo, Kaka, along with Zidane for example who never had a great scoring record nor huge pile of assists to his name, are & were more than those stats & are revered as such. A small proportion also infiltrates opinions because they were such elegant players... different discussion though.
Right on the money there Bazza, its the same problem with the Sky crowd who only ever watch football on tv, they only see the ball and tend to have little to zero understanding of the game and as result talk mostly shite about it.

We all mostly talk shite about it if we're honest

Just some talk more shite than others, and if I hear a single peep out of someone about Football Manager stats, or how good a certain player is in FIFA / PES it's good night Vienna & a roundhouse to the %@#$&!s swiftly follows. Not to be confused with talking about how good the game itself is of course, it's the cross contamination that results in violence.

spot on

although a pair of 3D goggles will allow them to fit the entire pitch into the camera shot at all times apparently, thus making their views on the game valid

a whole new ball game

the manager can keep playing him centrally if he keeps scoring goals

the manager will also be given credit for giving him Michael Owen to train with

He could probably afford to buy a few out of his own pocket, if he wanted.

let madrid keep and ruin every player they like.

I'd rather have essien and diaby.

actually, i'd rather we'd taken robbie keane than got benzema. but we should get a cheap scandinavian forward. one of the taller ones.

Interesting point, are you suggesting maybe Fergie and some of the highly paid players club together and form a transfer fund. Not heard this before as a suggestion.

Not saying they should, but I imagine the could, if they wanted to.

They probably could've clubbed together and bought Tevez

Hmmmm, then he could've turned down the players individually instead of just "the club" eh.

Or, his precious team mates that loved him so much decided he wasn't worth the money.

Puts a new complexion on the G. Neville row Perhaps he was required to stump the last couple of mil, but £#%&!ed him off
