That is berbatov's weakness right there and Rooney's improvement this season is 90% down to better movement. Barca's great play is 60% movement.

I always said Fletcher would turn out good when everyone wanted him out, that Ronaldo was gonna be the best when people considered him a flashy showboat, that Nani would turn out good when he seemed like a hopeless husk of a player.

This boy will be quality - IF Fergie plays him. We dont have a great track record of getting the best out of strikers since we ditched 4-4-2. We've seen Forlan, Rossi, Saha, Tevez, Owen and Berbatov fail to establish themselves properly through a combination of not being used properly, wrong mentality, injury or not enough playing time all of which contribute to drop in form and then its a vicious circle.

Given the Rooney/Ruud treatment I suspect all of these could have been heroes and vice versa if Rooney/Ruud had been given similar minutes, I suspect they would have never developed properly, see Vela/Walcott at arsenal.

That's a crazy amount of talent Fergie has squandered up front. Makes me wonder if we really should switch back to 4-4-2 and get a midfield in that can cope with that. Its back to 4-3-3 to carry Keane, only now we're carrying Scholes/Carrick/Gibson/Fat Anderson depending on who is having a good/bad day.

Did you know? Berbatov has the second-best shot conversion rate in the Premier League this season (29.6%) only behind team-mate Javier Hernandez (34.4%).
