Yup.

However, oddly depressing it was only 4 years ago. His fall from grace has been brutal.

Same as Schweinsteigers.

France 98 the England Argentina game. Massive roller coaster of emotions. Not a great feeling after but one of all time favourite games. Had everything except the right result
Nothing like the dour shit we will have to suffer through this Summer & next season 😡

Robbo scoring after 27 seconds in 82
Schumacher's foul against France
Brazil v France 1986
Loved the Italy team in 1990
USA 94 was a great World Cup, great games, Romario, Hagi, Stoichkov, Baggio, Maradona great until his ban, Escobar getting murdered - it had it all - shit final though
Downhill since then

For me, I was living in Germany in 2002 and this was decisive in the final. Missing Frings and if this had gone in.....

That’s the one. It ultimately was the making of Becks & it galvanised Utd.

The first one I remember was 74 and had a soft spot for Holland and followed them again in 78 and they lost both finals.

For a country its size it's not half had some top sides at both club and national level

My favourite though has to be Italia 90

And then they tried to kick and foul their way to the WC in 2010, total betrayal of their traditions

Van Marwijk is managing us now. I think he'll be a bit more at home with our lot

Watching Brazil getting tonked for 7 in their own back yard was just utterly hilarity tbh

Heard a few people say that. For me it was very unsettling, seeing the country fall apart. Also had hoped for a great game
