Our worst centre back pairing ever ?

Certainly in my lifetime.. They were signed with the intention of taking over from Rio and Vidic..

In my lifetime we have had..

McGrath & Moran
Bruce & Pallister
Stam & Johnsen
Rio & Vidic

Even the back up through out the years were better than these pair of clowns, Brown, Berg, Silvestre,

"Next Duncan Edwards"



He's not even the next Duncan Drasdo ffs

Big Silvo would be like a dream compared to these clowns. He couldn't fail to win headers with that huge melon head.

LvG and Mourinho...Both have improved a certain amount of our players and got whatever they can out of someone as rubbish as Fellaini...

Smalling did look half decent under Van Gaal

Back to being complete shit now though, Both need binning asap.

Steve James and Paul Edwards were dogshit.

I still think Smalling and Jones have huge potential if they were ever to be reliably fit and perform consistently to the best of their ability.

But the fact is it hasn't happened for 5 seasons now.

I think Jones was £#%&!ed around too much early on with that positional nonsense instead of honing his craft as a centre half. Never a midfielder or a right back. That and injuries did the rest.

Agree with that and it's a shame as he looked like he had the makings of a good CB
