The Return of JC

Default Re: Vidic - New Contract

I think we’re all putting on a brave face. He’s had his problems over the last year or so (along with Carrick and Anderson, I think he’s been guilty of taking his foot off the pet-e-rol), but the Rio/Vida axis is still absolutely pivotal to us. Yes we have Evans and Smalling and I expect big things from both of them, but Vida is one of the most experienced and reliable members of the squad and a core member of our best 11. I can handle us not signing, but we really can’t allow the best members of the side to leave, even if we do have the numbers to replace them.

He’s flawed, but he’s a big time player and strong character. Big, big loss if he goes.

Yup, we'd have to sign someone to replace him imo.

Offer a contract when he has already made his mind up to leave and know he won't sign, get the £30m to ease the budget then say: "Well we tried to keep him".

How very predictable.

"Real Madrid? So far the Spanish club has not contacted us," Martino told Itasportpress.it. (via the SkySports site)

"The player is on holiday in Mallorca and he is thinking about next season with Manchester United.

"It is difficult for him to leave England even if with the market open anything can happen."

Why do you question everything? Most people accept he wants to go, it's fairly obvious.

Because I've got a brain. Honestly, that is the worst question I've ever been asked.

It's pretty £#%&!ing obvious he wants out ffs.

I'm pretty sure there are still Arsenal fans claiming Cesc is committed to the cause too....
