Seemed to have great potential when he arrived, worked hard for a few seasons and, I thought, produced some very impressive football. Unfortunately, he generally lost it when he approached the box and definitely became a bit of an embarrassment.

Another in a long line of players that promised great things but just weren't quite up to scratch.

Hardly a 'ledge' but a worthy squad player for a while.

Just about his last good game for us?

Overall, he was a lot better than the oh-so-hilarious "bought to sell shirts" brigade would ever admit.

At least put it positively, he was world class and falling over.

Thumbs up

Made Pirlo his bitch during that great 4-0 win over Milan

An above average water carrier, who made a valuable contribution during one of the clubs greatest periods of success. Fergie needs a slap for starting him at City last season though. ffs.

Don't think he was that limited tbh. Completely different player than he was at PSV who put the team before himself and played a hugely different role. If you could graft his work and team ethic in to Nani you'd have a great player.

This sagespeak about city away last year is there were 11 gutless @#%&!s playing in that game so to single him out is embarrassing.

To listen to the clowns on here you'd think half the players who've played and consistently won titles for us over the last 10 years weren't good enough. If you want to support a Championship Manager team there's one across town 15 points behind us.

Ji - top player, top man.

It was daft picking a player who'd been out injured for six weeks. The result, and the fact that the team didn't manage a single shot on goal, kind of supports this.

Actually it kind of supports the theory regardless of his selection we weren't going to win the game as the whole team were clueless.

Yes, that makes sense. The team selection had absolutely nothing to do with the performance.
