With Mendes practically having an office at Carrington I would expect us to be better at signings now, but this one possibly a stretch.

Also arguable we need a leader back there more than another erratic young player.

Not sure that will be the case while Mourinho is around. He'll be desperate to get the perfect players.

It's more after Mourinho that you'd worry about how rooted Mendes is inside the club. He genuinely had his own office at Real Madrid
