City have a game the Wednesday before and we play the Wednesday after, so it won't happen.

1-1 draw between Palace and Leicester is good for us

a Villa/Chelsea draw would work nicely as well

Villa level.

A lot going right for us since we drew. A win tomorrow would be huge.

Good point, unforgivable edit.

McGinn just rattled the bar from 30 yards.

I’ve seen Chelsea, Spurs, Southampton, Everton and Leicester recently and, for all our flaws, none of them are better than us.

I think City will be happy to sit quietly under the radar at the moment, but there’s no much to fear in this league. We’re improving, everyone is dropping points and we should be finishing with more points this season and stop all this 30 points off the champions shit we’ve seen over the last few years.

Finished 1-1. Villa well worth it.

brilliant result with villa and chelsea drawing...we stay above chelsea with 2 games in hand and we stay above Villa on the same amount of games.

these guys have to be looking at the table and thinking £#%&! me we have a great shot at winning the title as long as we take care of business before we play the scouse @#%&!s in a couple weeks

Playing before Liverpool in both our league games prior to the match with them is a big chance to put the pressure on as well. Glad we have a break from the league after new year's day and can focus on going to Anfield on the 17th.

Should go full strength v city play similar team against Watford as we did at Everton and let players who aren’t starting v Watford have a week off

With all due respect to Watford, we should rest a few regulars for that one.

How much respect do you think appropriate?

Playing the same sort of team that we did against Exeter in 2005 might be going a bit far, I suspect

Tonight’s game would have taken plenty out of Villa.

Dean Smith not really rotating his squad much either.

Let’s hope it catches up with them on Friday night.

play the damn kids against Watford...all due respect to the FA Cup but that should be the last priority for this team right now especially with how the schedule has played out with the derby semi three days prior

now if the derby semi is postponed then it's full strength for Watford as they'll be a nice break between playing Villa and Liverpool in the league

they were good results for us. these guys will be looking at the table and thinking we ought to finish above leicester, chelsea and villa. which is what they should be thinking anyway.

"Everton Football Club regret the postponement of tonight’s match against Manchester City - not only for the 2,000 fans who would have been attending, but for supporters on Merseyside and across the world.

Our players were prepared for the game, as were both the team staff and everyone at Goodison. Matchday is the most important date in our calendar. And this was a big one.

Whilst Everton will always have public safety uppermost, we will be requesting full disclosure of all the information that Manchester City provided to the Premier League so the Club can be clear on why this decision was taken."
