Let's be honest about Carrick

One of the most frustrating United players to watch for me.

A decent distributor of the ball when on his game, but when he isn't his distribution and the amount of times he gets caught in possession are poor.

Doesn't have the ability to take the bigger, more important games by the scruff of the neck and influence them accordingly.

Needs a kick up the £#%&!in arse right now from Ferie imo.

There's mention of something like this in Philip Auclear's Cantona book. I can't remember it exactly...raad it a while ago...but I think Leeds chairman Leslie Silver may have put the story around that United had enquired about Chapman. (Chapman and McCallister were Eric's best mates during his time at Leeds).

The famous story Carlo highlights is the accepted version...as evidenced by Ferguson and Edwards, though no-one from Leeds has ever confirmed it as fact or otherwise.
