Possible development on the Benzema front. According to L'Equipe, Lyon are in talks with Porto over a deal for €20m-rated Argentine forward Lisandro Lopez.

That wasn't to say Benzema is coming to United, btw. Barca more likely, I suspect

Sorry Sparkers, I'm first.

And after I've done Chegsy, I'm giving Kate Beckinsale a portion.

In other news, I had to laugh at comments attributed to Alexandre Pato:

"It's an honour that a club like Chelsea like me" Of course it is mate.No doubt he's been Chelsea all his £#%&!ing life.

Think it was last summer when Graham Hunter was on Sky saying Ronaldo is definitely going to Madrid (that summer) and had a big smug look on his face, #@&%!.

It's appalling isn't it?

Had to laugh at City wanting to set up 'special relationships' with Milan and Barca ffs £#%&!ing City, like they're ever so significant because they've got some cash.

So...

Chelsea to sign Pato

City to sign Tevez, Barry, Santa Cruz

Real to Sign Kaka, Ronaldo, Villa, Silva, Alonso

Barcelona to sign Mascherano, Zlatan, Benzema

United to sign Valencia

Is that about the size of it thus far?

Orly.

Where is Ribery going now then? I think I read that he doesn't fancy England.

Benitez has said he isn't inetrested in that boy from Napoli.

Pirlo is off to Chelsea too

"Me at Chelsea? Let's see," the midfielder said from Italy's training camp in South Africa ahead of the Confederations Cup.

"Maybe not now, but we will see."

Pirlo would be a very good signing for Chelsea.

Pato won't be going to Chelsea. Milan won't sell 2 big players.

Yeah, but Pato is only about 5' 6'' and skinny, so they might sell him.

I don't think signing Pirlo would make a great deal of sense.

Whilst he is a fantastic footballer, it is Chelsea's strongest area of the side and he is 30 years old.

They'd be better off bringing in someone who can bring something different in an attacking sense, i.e. a bit of width, especially on the right side. They could also do with a centre half if they are getting rid of Carvalho. Signing a 30 year old Pirlo just leaves them with another position which is filled by a footballer whose better days aren't in front of him. I'm still not convinced they have the right back area sorted either.
