Perhaps that’s the reason for Mourinho’s approach to him, he doesn’t want to ruin the kid and is protecting him. Nothing wrong with what he’s said tbf, more important he played as much as possible and isn’t sitting on the bench.

I would have sold him if he pushed for a transfer. Looked like thats what he and his agent were up to a few weeks ago but seems he is knuckling down now that Mou made it clear he doesn't want to lose him.
