Without the ball, City are almost literally playing with 10 men (esp on the counter). 3 goals conceded vs Newcastle/us; 2 Palace; a draw at a dreadful Villa side. Yet to be seen how they perform in knock outs against good European sides who keep him (relatively) quiet on attack / don't fold like a cheap pack of cards in the first 30 min / don't play hari kari team selections. Wouldn't be writing their name on the European Cup yet.

Very good City side but not Guardiola's best. Utd the only decent team to give them an easy game this season. Can be got at - will be got at in Europe. Very small squad too as the season wears on - will be seen if it has an effect this time ..

They’re very complacent and sloppy at times. Even in a fixture where they’ve won once in 20 years.

Their defence is shit when It actually has to defend.

City have been crap. Absolute frauds.

The comparison of either of these too with our treble side is an insult.

Nunez has been a big threat. To Liverpool’s win.

Bert’s should’ve made it count earlier on. A bit complacent.

Great weekend of results

As correctly pointed out at the time, the team selection over there for the 6-3 was pure insanity. You keep it tight against City, get through the first 15 min and build from there -- you do not pick a team that plays to every single one of their strengths. Live and learn, anyway ..

.
we aren't finishing in the top 4 i'm afraid. Not with those forward options. We'll be lucky if any of them manage more than 12 goals this season.

Anfield really is the toughest place to go when the crowd and players are up for it. Compare it to Old Trafford a £#%&!ing stroll in the park for teams these days

No. They’re shitbags. Bullies. Fancied Liverpool to get something and Haaland to do £#%&! all. They’ve got a massive mental block going there.

Maybe, maybe not. Today was a gut-punch but only 3 pts from top 4, so all to play for. Obv. needed a new striker in the summer but what's done is done. Expecting 1 from 3 of Utd/Chelsea/L'pool to round it out. Wouldn't be surprised if L'pool win the European Cup though now Klopp has cottoned on to resting the full backs.
