Palace will cave eventually because they're shit and generally speaking it never ends well for teams who try and 'see games out'.
I think we had a similar conversation the other night, no? True, they don’t concede a lot, which is why they won’t just go away. But they don’t score enough either. Their general play is just decidedly meh and not top four material. They’ll be up there because they’re very hard to beat and because everyone is shit.

And they’re doing to Palace what we didn’t do also includes not taking the lead.

They will probably go on to win this, but they make every game a slog and that’s not sustainable. We should know that as well as anyone.

They’ve scored 1 goal in their last 4 games if this holds.. If that was us, we’d be apoplectic.

Newcastle also nice and fresh after a week off against a tired Palace, whereas we looked £#%&!ed Wednesday coming off the back of a Derby and second half we weren’t switched on at all.

Should’ve been a comfortable 2-0 victory for us at the end as well.

More weight to the notion that they’re not that good: a whole week off and still struggling away.

If they didn’t have the money, I think there’d be a more accepted acknowledgement that Howe is overachieving.

Longstaff. Joe Linton. Burn. Wilson. They’re not exactly top four players. It’s an ok squad that really shouldn’t be finishing top four, as we stand. Howe is doing really well, but that’s now 1 win and 1 goal in four. And not exactly crazy fixtures. That’s more of what I expect of this group than the Almiron inspired run of a few weeks back.

They won’t finish above us.

Almost drew or lost against Fulham too, but Mitrovic screwed up his penalty.

The big advantage for them though is that they're only in two competitions, whereas we obviously have four.
