If he needs to step down a level, and he does, he should go to the US and get another year or two of adulation there. It's a bit more respectable in footballing terms and he'd be mixing with people like Rooney and Beckham.

Loads of great advertising and social media opportunities there as well.

He could not play elite football anymore. Club were out the Champions League places when he left, which seems to be oft forgot. Moving him out was absolutely the best thing for the team & the club. Rashford + Bruno reignited with him out. Would have festered had he stayed.

It was bizarre what he did tbh.

It was all about playing at the top level and he ended up going over there. Weird how he went for Ten Hag as well, even though he is clearly a very good manager and has a chance at getting us challenging.
