As per previous post, assuming Uncle Jim just needs to stump up a 51% of anything between the 4>10bn being bandied about, plus the investment to get the club where it was before these thieves stole the club, it will need an investment around the higher estimate. Although the other 49% of investors will contribute to any debt, stadium and players , there is still some sharp interest increases to come, which will make it a pretty expensive purchase. One thing often overlooked, re: the debt, is that it would actually be a convenient, if undesirable tool to lessen the club’s tax bill.

Maybe Jim can fix it? Dunno.

Hope the new lot are an imponderable thislot. Even that isn’t a given.

That's the risk - plenty of sharks out there. Equally, l don't want a Saudi mogul. Let the fans buy a majority stake and retain control of the key decisions.

United are a unicorn. They'll be interest from virtually everybody wealthy enough to buy them.

They have no option other than to sell at this time. They aren't going to get a better price for the club now unless they spent money on a new stadium/mass development which they aren't going to do. They have been called out, publicly, by their most marketable asset, the Super League is dead in the water...
