No coincidence that United and Liverpool owners wanting out now the Super League is dead in the water.

Realised they've milked the club as far as they can.

Just pray Fergie isn’t consulted and has no influence over any of it. The bloke that supported the glazer take over, hoisted Moyes on us and never called out Woodward. Absolutely cretinous.

Although the other 49% of investors will contribute to any debt, stadium and players , there is still some sharp interest increases to come, which will make it a pretty expensive purchase. One thing often overlooked, re: the debt, is that it would actually be a convenient, if undesirable tool to lessen the club’s tax bill.

Maybe Jim can fix it? Dunno.

Hope the new lot are an imponderable thislot. Even that isn’t a given.

Bought the club for £270m, took over a billion out in that time, and looking to sell for about £5b.

Not a bad 17 years 'work' for them.

Just please dont give us another set of @#%&!s

We could end up with a consortium that runs the club on a similar model to the Glazers.

Money-no-object investors are pretty thin on the ground now.

That's the risk - plenty of sharks out there. Equally, l don't want a Saudi mogul. Let the fans buy a majority stake and retain control of the key decisions.

Why we didn't have a fans take over when the Knighton sale fell through The money at the time wasn't that big, a tenner a man would have done it.

The Pardew consortium is understood to be financially backed with seed capital from the Fred and Rose West family trust. When challenged on the link, Ferguson angrily stated ‘say what you like about Fed but he was a bloody good builder. And anyway, all that business was a long time ago now’ before referencing his hard childhood growing up in Govan.

United are a unicorn. They'll be interest from virtually everybody wealthy enough to buy them.

They have no option other than to sell at this time. They aren't going to get a better price for the club now unless they spent money on a new stadium/mass development which they aren't going to do. They have been called out, publicly, by their most marketable asset, the Super League is dead in the water...

It's on...

£#%&!ingFergie obvs eternally grateful etc but the £#%&!er has been slurping his hush money for 17 years since “no value/cow in a field “ and counting. Maybe he is at the core of a master plan.

Doubt it.
