The target has to be to win the league.

Anything other than a title challenge would not be acceptable.

Interesting. So the bar has been raised for our new manager compared to the last one?

Go to Anfield top of the league and emerge from the tunnel swaggering on mass, testosterone everywhere

I expected the same from Moyes when he was first announced.

My expectation didn't last long though ...

1. keep de gea
2. sign a centre back, centre mid and a striker as an absolute minimum
3. piss off the rest of the league

1) Jose gently smacking Guardiola's face after we beat City.
2) Jose ignoring Klopp's handshake after we slaughter Liverpool.
3) Jose wagging his finger at John Terry after he's sent off for a foul which leads to our defeat of Chelsea.

Always build from the back, that's what they used to say about assembling a winning team.

Our defence was pretty mean last season but we couldn't always carry it out from deep. Having full backs that Smalling can offload the ball onto would be a start. So I expect we'll sign a right back and hope Shaw stays fit.

Shaw and Martial down the left, new RB and Rashford/new RW down the right.

Zlatan down the middle. A new midfielder with hair on his chest.

League title pls.

League title.

League cup along the way should provide a little boost as well.

Beat chelsea in the fa cup final having beat city in the semis and liverpool in the quaters.

Not bad for his first year.

Has to be a title challenge after the talk this season.

What we do in the market is a huge factor. As of course does the extent to which Guardiola and others settle.
