Default Aims for the forthcoming season?

To win the league? Can we get back to thinking that this is possible now

Enough of this laboured 'plan' and 'suffering before the good times' narrative now please.

I think we are 3 players away from making a serious challenge as things stand.

BR for 'narrative'

Top 4 and a cup....serious challenge on the title depends on signings.

I'd like to win the Europa

Target has to be winning the league next season. We should have the players and we certainly have the manager.

Win the charity shield.

Seriously challenge for the league and Europa League.

Retain the FA Cup.

Win the league cup with kids.

Not really arsed yet. It's closed season and a break from being arsed about United is good IMO

Edit: £#%&! that. I'd like to see us win the league with a group of players aged 30+ whilst also getting rid of any young players. That would really boil piss

Let's see after the pre-season what sort of squad we have and how it is shaping up for the season ahead

It's not a great league so no reason we can't challenge for it
Pep's obviously a worry at city but I'm not that arsed about Conte at Chelsea

Challenge for the title, score some goals, poke klopp in the eye

Entirely dependent on securing at least three excellent players through the spine & retaining the quality ones we have (so De Gea.)

Just as importantly, not having the £#%&!ing injuries of the last two seasons... would expect a comfortable top 3 finish & a cup run again.

I feel like we should probably be lumping £100 on us winning the League Cup, it's classic Mourinho fair for season 1.

If he kept the kids in the side & added quality, I'd be even happier & would be fine with getting Top 4 this season with all eyes on the 2nd season to blossom.

Suplexing Pep would be a plus.

I'd take that along with convincing performances in the 'big' games. Still don't think it's as simple as a few big signings and we're nailed on for a league challenge. Reckon there will be a bit more upheaval too.

Play proper football.

The rest will be a bonus. 48 goals FFS.

Unless there's a huge spike from the other so called top sides there's no reason we shouldn't be thereabouts.

To make us Manchester United again.

That and to get everyone else to seethe.

But yeah, obviously CL qualification. Anything else is a bonus. We still have an average squad and maybe 4 or 5 nailed on first teamers - DDG, Martial, Rashford, probably Rooney, Shaw. Everyone elses place is up for grabs as far as I'm concerned.

Top 3 finish, no more than 9 points off first place
Comfortable CL qualification/Win Europa League
Beat City/Liverpool home & away
Wind the absolute £#%&! out of scouse fans and Guardiola. And Wenger for good measure.

Should be having a real go at the league with no Champs League. Use the Europa for squad players fitness and the juice.

Aim 1: Play football that does not make my eyes bleed and see where it takes us.
