Thinking about him yesterday, and wondering at what moment our crossing went from aiming for a head to putting it in a general area and hoping for the best.

Our crossing yesterday was hideous. Shades of Moyes trying to make it difficult for Fulham

Beckham and Nev down the right... Ambassador you are really spoiling us

Incredible player. Just a pure, perfect right winger and a delicious foil to giggs on the left.

Awesome.

Preferred Kanchelskis.

As for Beckham, decent player, but it all got too much of a circus in the end. His kids look like @#%&!s, too.

A bit of truth in that and making sure the press could see the cut on his head driving to training after the boot incident.
Never taken to that miserable bitch he married either.

But all that aside he was still a club legend

Was talking with Bryan Robson after he spoke at a dinner a couple of years ago, and I asked him where he ranked Beckham in the United Hall of Fame.

He said he wouldn't put him up there with the true greats like Charlton, Law and Best, but in his opinion he was a United legend, no question.

Made my night that, Robbo endorsing Becks. Love em both.

Love him on so many levels.

Life isn't where you start - it's all about progression and he has worked hard to be the man he is today.

Irritates me to hear people make light of his efforts - he was critical in our success for a long time and was a hell of a player.

The other thing - the night of the sarong.

The true story was that on holiday he was eating grilled fish and drinking water that night. A true professional.

Oh - and post 98 when people were saying they'd love to batter him

A man training his body to peak fitness and facing Keane, Butt and Scholes every day being scared of Jeremy Clarkson (it was he who said he'd like 5 minutes ppwith Beckham and a baseball bat post red card for England )

Love Beckham to bits. Can think of few celebrity deaths that would upset me more (Bret Hart? Scholes? Rowan Atkinson? Ricky Gervais?)

Cool

People still seething about his wife

Absolute legend and my all time hero. To think what he did from the Argentina game to the status he enjoys today is remarkable given the current culture of sports stars/celebs etc.
