Default city to do us a favour tomorrow night

In a shocking run of form, dumped out of cups, manager's job under pressure, playing at home, that's just the way the gods of football operate.

Default Don't get your hopes up.

It's not going to happen. The only remotely decent performance City will put in between now and the end of the season will be against United.

If they take anything from chelsea, that would virtually be that surely?

The next slip up is crucial.

I think Chelsea have been shite in the last two games and city need any sort of result badly right now. They know they've beaten them there two seasons ago.

But yes, if Chelsea drop any points there I think with Valencia looming for them, we need only beat Bolton lunchtime Saturday to put it out of reach for them.

Default Stop it.

Stop it, I say.

I can feel The Curse looming over us even now.

Its arms are long, and its talons are outstretched.

Hush.

Hush.
Did you not see us put the mighty Europe to the sword just there?

We are unstoppable.

I am so confident I'll be heading to the bookies soon to repeat my infamous "Utd to win nothing" insurance bet of 99.

Referred to, all night, on BBC Radio Manchester's coverage, as 'The Rest of The World'.

Default Just so you know.

If United do not win the league this year, I am going to hunt down every last person who made a confident prediction and garrote them with piano wire.

I have not yet decided on the thickness of the piano wire, but I may go for Middle C for its combination of tautness and flexibility.

Selah.

And if we're right?

Will you put the piano wire back in the piano and play us a tune?
