Delicate balance... burning out youngsters is very Scouse, their yoot all seem to be utterly £#%&!ed by mid-20's, whereas the Utd kids were still going into mid-30's & beyond. If you overplay a developing physique, it will undoubtedly affect you later.

30 starts as a teenager at United is still impressive, and he played the most of any teenage player in the league if memory serves from Saffers / Big Dunc Castles.

I know mate. I was mocking the know nothing weirdos who think Mou didn't give Rashers many games last season

He started to bulk up around xmas last year, hes just carrying that on until I guess he finds the balance.

Players of that age naturally fill out over the summer while they're away from football
Also he's been bulking up steadily for a year or more

Can't really tell until we see him on the pitch but he definitely looks bigger in that photo

Compare and contrast to his physique on his debut about 1 and half ago

yeah it's natural growth, as you would expect of a young lad who is training day in day out. Nothing particularly exceptional. With Ronaldo, there was a marked difference in - from what I could tell - his actual bodyweight, as opposed to just being toned. Seemed like he put on a good few kilos of muscle over that summer.
