Sorry if already posted Mods.
City are now ranked 9th and the best British Club in UEFA rankings with us being ahead of Arsenal,Chelsea and the Rags.
This is based on their overall performances in continental competitions and domestic league placings.
£#%&!ing great my lads.

Why Always Ste

How are we ahead of Chelsea when they've actually won the CL in recent years, and won the PL this season?
As with the Raggies having won the UEFA Cup

tramazi

And so we should be, over the years we have been most consistent team in England, and one of the most consistent in Europe over the last 5 years or so.... might not have won anything significant recently YEAH SINCE 1970 but we are getting there.
The sort of "rankings" they'd have sneered at a few years ago

Success for us = Trophies
Success for them = Finishing above us

Mixed blessings. Absolutely unreal, the way both we and the rats threw away almost unloseable titles.

I keep forgetting that City won the league that season. Feels like Liverpool lost it and no one actually won it.

It must have killled the blue @#%&!s how unarsed we were about that league win.

When accusing city fans of having the most expensive defence ever assembled their response is that ederson is NOT the most expensive GK ever and that due to exchange rates Buffon is still no.1.

I had an argument swearing blind that Chelsea won it that year. It's the year Liverpool lost it/the slip, nothing else.

iirc, city's league win wasn't even the first story on most of the back pages the next day

No one cared

Love that they're just a great big irrelevance to everyone outside of the club. They had a few years where they could have set up a squad that'd see them through the next ten years. They've £#%&!ed it trying to look flashy. They'll be good on FIFA though tbf.

Old fart report here but: "flashy" they had the same problem with that Gobby @#%&! Malcolm Allison/Mercer in charge, back in the day. Can't remember the exact year but they had the title practically wrapped up and then signed #@&%!erney wonder boy Rodney Marsh. Icing on the cake Cue: fancy wiggling by the corner flag sending resident mongs into raptures. Lost focus. Leeds/Everton? Champions.

Love the berts, sometimes

1972 left 3 years later for Tampa Bay

"Right, no beating about the bush, I have to hold my hands up – I cost Manchester City the 1972 league championship."
— Marsh agreed with the critics in his 2001 autobiography, saying that he regretted the move to Manchester City and he felt he let the supporters down

That's the sort of post that would have been the perfect start to a '1000000000005 Great comedy Man City moments' thread.

What a waste.
