I think he's more dangerous from distance than Ronaldo. I'm sure he'll have a better FK conversion rate over the last couple of years. Ronaldo takes an obscene amount of free-kicks, but scores a low percentage of them. I believe 4/5 he takes don't even hit the target.
Bale is a better striker of the ball from distance, I'd say. More variation in the way he hits it. Ronaldo generally blasts through the ball when facing goal and afforded space. Bale can do that, but is more capable of placing shots, hitting it side-to-goal, on the volley etc.
When you look at the damage he continues to do even when everyone knows he's Spurs' main threat, I can only imagine what Bale would be like around better players. I'd be really surprised if we're not in for him this summer #£#%&!themidfield
