Bojan has been looking like the real deal this season, his attitude looks better, he's bulked out a bit and pep seems to trust him a little more than when he first came in. To swap a tirelss midfielder, a player of Bojan's potential and 40 million for a bloke who is nearly 30 is a good bit of business even if he is the absolute dogs danglers.

You mean he doesn't want to come and play for us in the Premier League? The 'best league in the world'.

I am truly shocked by this.

That sounds like a soccer manager deal.

If true, great deal for Barca that.

Do they still want O'Shea?

I reckon we could get Messi plus a decent wedge of cash.

Little bit surprised if this is true as Barca have got their presidential elections this summer and they normally deal with all transfer dealings

Could you not be arsed to finish your post?!?

I'd imagine this is part of Laporta's re-election manifest. Or maybe he thinks that Barca will re-elect him on the back of this signing.

I thought Laporta couldn't be re-elected and his mate was running instead?

Villa is a quality finisher - has scored for fun over the past 5 seasons, but like you say that is a lot of money even for him. Bojan would have been a good squad player for Barca.

I'm sure both Barca and Real wish they'd just stumped up the cash for Villa last Summer.

I thought Laporta couldn't serve another term?

Laporta can't go for re-election can he? I read somewhere that he's had his two stints and he's heading off into politics.

I didn't think he was going for re-election this year or couldn't. I read Sandro Rosell was the favorite for the role this time round.
