talking of wigan and their desire to get a result at chelsea next weekend, was there anything in the valencia deal like there was in the carrick deal that indicated payments would be made to wigan upon united winning the league?
 dave whelan is a top football man so i don't doubt he would love his ickle-wigan to go down there and a get a result, but if £2.5M was riding on it you can £#%&!ing bet your life he'll have Martinez made very aware that if he wants to buy players in the summer etc etc...

What a shame for Ian Dowie. I've always said that a manager is only as good as the players he has at his disposal, and I think it's fair to say that Dowie hasn't had much to work with at Hull. Still, with the backing they've got at the KC Stadium and all the high quality battered foods they have in Hull, I'm sure they'll be in a strong position to bounce straight back up again next season.
