Default you take three penalties......

and put them all in the same place and go one step further and position your body in a way in which everyone knows where you will put it everytime.....

its no wonder every penalty you have scored has nearly been saved

Rooney doesn't take a good penalty.

It HAS to be Ronaldo

Indeed. And he has the %@#$&!s to take them at the crucial time, too.

Can't understand why Ronaldo doesn't take them. He showed how confident he is in the shootout with England.

Exactly. He's one of the few who enjoys taking them.

I was the least bit arsed about watching that penalty.I £#%&!ing KNEW he'd miss.

I rate Saha, I really do but he needs £#%&!ing after that performance.

Spineless soft £#%&!ing @#%&!. You could see a mile off he was going to miss it, standing two yards from the £#%&!ing ball. Choked it big time the soft shithouse.

Knew it as well when I saw that. The keeper knows he can only sidefoot it with such a short approach, and players more often push it to the same side when they sidefoot it - which keepers also know.

it also doesnt help when the same keeper(i think) got a finger to the exact same sort of penalty from the same player in the reverse fixture.

keepers never save penalties from players who have enough balls to put it in the top corner.
ronaldo does that everytime.

It's true, if you get a penalty up off the deck a good 5-6 feet, keepers aren't getting near it, even if the guess the right way.

Or at least make them get all the way down to the deck for it.

Waist high, though, is asking for trouble.

Ferguson probably had money on Saha scoring so forced him to take it.

not gonna jump on the bandwagon because saa's previous penalty's were both well placed in the corner with relatively good pace if he had sent boruc diving the other way you'd all be drooling over his lap

however I have always wonderd why ronaldo has not taken our penalty's never seen him hit a bad one

A big 'if.' The point is he made it obvious for Boruc. That didn't look like a guess to me, it looked like Boruc had him sussed.
