I've had a lot of very dark days in my life.....

But, the day he was appointed as our manager, I came home early from work, purely because of how awful I felt. Purely because he was our manager. It was the one of the darkest days. I knew he was destined to fail.

I never felt as bad, previously or since, when he was our manager.
There were bad years under Fergie, bad days under LvG, although it's harsh to judge Mourinho now but, Moyes just destroyed me

Thankfully though, he's decided to destroy Sunderland, so it levels out

I was sat in a pub garden in the miserable grey weather with my brother trying to convince ourselves it wouldn't be that bad.

I imagine Moyes was doing something similar at that moment in time.

His wife going 'come on David, they must have seen something in you'
'Maybe, but what? I'll just have to try and blag it'
'That's the spirit'

Most of the papers today are going with Vieira to replace him.

Think he's just one of the biggest @#%&!s going tbh. Soft @#%&! that didn't have the balls to push through a move to United as well. He deserves to be associated with the failures in London, Milan and up the road.

Brilliantly managed expectations. He got the club, fans, media and even the country to believe that a top six club was capable of nothing more then mid table mediocrity and anything more was down to his genius

The @#%&! casts better spells the Merlin.

he's a s@@tc@@k. coming to united with an established team , with players that knew more than he did about winning and saying he needed 4-5 WC players to compete in CL. really. how in f@@ks name would he know? you just don't do that. he lost the dressing room early doors.

If all about protecting himself from his fear of failure. It enables him to avoid it by convincing himself it was inevitable and no manager could have done any better. And should the team exceed the low expectations he's set, then he's can tell himself he's a genius.

Why in God's name did he bring his Sunderland team to a blizzard stricken New York City?

Lose 4-0 at home after winning 4-0 away last week - knew it wouldn't last.

To give Moyes his due, he was 100% correct in his statement in the thread title
