Default Judging by Gill's comments earlier......

It looks like the Ginger Prince will indeed be hanging up his boots in a few weeks time.

Would like him to stay just to mentor Cleverly or something of that ilk.

He's not pace dependent like a fullback. We need him.

Not strictly, no, but he is very slow in terms of mobility these days and the tackling is becoming ever more reckless. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slating him at all, but once the cracks start to appear, I think it's time to call it a day. It'll give others a chance too. Now seems as good a time as any.

I think hes got another year in him, at home to the bottom half if he has the likes of Anderson, Fletcher and Park around him he can still toy with those sides while giving players a rest that are more likely to start the subsuquent away match. Also a useful CL group stage player, if theres one thing we learnt following Utd, its a £#%&!ing long season.

Hardly seems worth him sticking around for that. A big part of his consideration is that he's not playing enough. Will that suffice for him?

If he goes, he finishes on the top and we can hopefully get a replacement. If he stays, then we get another year of the finest English player of his generation.

In the main its more or less how hes been used the last 2 seasons. He was even being used like that while Ronaldo Tevez and Hargreaves (I know) were here.

He's been a great servant to the club, but if you compare his season to giggs's season for example, you would think giggs was 26 and in his prime. In the summer break, we need to bring in a real quality midfielder. Maybe someone similar to modric.
