Question Juventus (a) and City (a)

Is anyone honestly expecting anything from these games?

Would take a 1-0 defeat in both now.

I’m resigned to two defeats. The key though here is that if we lose we give them a game.

Keep getting a weird feeling about the berts match but i then tell myself to stop being ridiculous and the moment passes. both opposition teams are on a different level to United - in the case of the berts more so than ever before in my lifetime - so forget it.

Total respect to the hardy souls attending both.

Surely some anti Lfc songs from our support v juve?

Default These two games -not for the faint-hearted!

Flashes of brilliance from Pogba, Sanchez and De Gea will tip the scales for us in both games; solid performances from Lindelöf, Young, Shaw, Martial, Rashford and Herrera will see us over the line.

0-0 - A masterclass in bus parking
5-0 - They’ll smash us and 5-0 is me being hopeful.

weirdly we actually have quite a decent record from recent years at the etihad.

better than our record at old trafford against them anyway. one win against them in seven league games, is it?

people seem to think city are the best team ever. they are just more ruthless that us and more finely tuned
Quality wise there is not that much difference between us and i expect us to beat them.

Surprisingly, we have won 4 and lost just 2 of the last 8 games against city, not including the pre-season friendly win. It doesn't feel like that tbh, but it's true. We have nothing to fear.

i'm actually quite confident we can get something. we had the balls to turn it around at their place last season so it's not impossible.

would take a solid, narrow 1-0 win.

I think they do have notably more quality tbh, especially in numbers, but the gap isn't big enough that we should be terrified.

Problem is that we can't actually defend anymore.
