He's been here 12 years. Are you saying Robson doesn't make the top 50 because of his last season?

An all time great. A privilege to see him play for us and break that record.

He's had a handful of bad games in 3 years...

He's dragged us to an fa cup and hull away, today, Swansea, the record, blah blah blah

I'm not talking about the odd bad game; over the last few years has had large periods of being average at best.

The likes of Robson, Scholes, Keane, etc, had very few periods of their time with us when they can be described as being average at best. When they were past their best, they left or hung up their boots. Rooney, because of who is, the influence on the dressing room (guessing) and the size of his contract, has been kept at the club for several years since he's been past his best.

Not taking anything away from his achievement today and the fact that at his peak he was unarguably among the very greatest to play for us. But if you look at his last few years on their own, there is no way IMHO that he could be described as among the greatest.

Well apart from the fact that he's broken the club scoring record along with the national record.

Both phenomenal achievements from a legend of club and country. But he's only scored 5 goals all season and is being kept out of the team by a 35 year old (as I would suggest he would have been had Moyes signed Zlat).

This, he's clearly dipped in the last few years but in his pomp he was an absolute beast. It's been a privilege to watch him , players like that don't come along very often!

How can our all time leading goal scorer not be in a top 20 or 50 ffs?

Base people on their contributions, their ability in their prime, goals etc. If you voted for everyone based on their 'off periods', what's the point?

Like saying Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson or Tyson dont get in an all time greats list because of the arse end of their career. Or the Smashing Pumpkins

Great player for United. He's a club legend.
