Can you go back to making some posts about selecting a midfield?

Kane's finishing was woeful tonight.

Good moments of bringing others in to play but missing chances is exactly what we've been playing Lukaku for.

Just the perception mate.

Commentators on kanes dick all night. Some good hold up but nothing amazing.

Again, doesn't really do it against us much.

Thought Son, Ali and Eriksen were much more of a threat.

He had an off night finishing wise but he was there every time and he usually hits the target. He ran zig and zag ragged and is a fabulous centre forward. Lukaku is a big lad who doesn't trouble centre backs and needs his goals putting on a plate for him with the cutlery in the right order the hopeless lump.

Bossed Jones from the first minute when he won the header that set the goal up.

I’d move heaven and hell to get this guy to the club, up to and including breaking the world record transfer. If Mourinho had a 100m budget I’d throw a fire sale to raise another 150m (with only De Gea and Sanchez off limits) if that’s what it took to get him, he’s that good.

The man has everything except blistering pace, but he’s not slow. Technique is superb, movement brilliant and has the mentality to keep going until he gets his goal(s). He makes everyone around him better, and that’s rare in today’s game. Best English striker since Shearer, and I’d put him in that category. He’ll score goals anywhere.

Tottenham are going to be in a tough spot. He clearly wouldn’t choose to leave, but how long will they be able to keep Pochettino? How long before they win something? Obviously if he has to go they would rather sell to RM, but if there was even a 1% chance I’d offer Spurs a ludicrous amount of money. This guy could be the catalyst in the way that Eric was.
