Talking Paul Wilson is a know nothing parrot faced wazzock

Now, we have all long known the above

But still, his latest effort for the Graun is something else. No link, but paraphrased it is "Pellegrini playing a load of kids on Sunday was all Man United's fault" :£#%&!er:

Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Now this is where it gets even funnier.......

Most ABU's will recite all the business about the 1999/2000 season. Wilson does that, but his real "indictment" is our SF against Everton in 2008/09

When we went to a shootout and had a cast iron pelanty turned down. But no, according to him it was EXACTLY THE SAME as what ciddy did at the weekend!!

I shit you not.

I don't tend to be as touchy as some about journos percieved bias, a lot of the time when someone calls a journalist an "ABU" I reckon they have half a decent point and it's an easy way to avoid conceeding it.

In the case of Paul Wilson its very different. He's never been able to hide his pathalogical dislike for United to a degree it's hilarious. I'm pretty sure that his constant start of season predictions for United to finish 5th or lower throughout the late 00s only to find us in the title race year after year must be some sort of office joke at the guardian/observer. I wouldn't mind if his writing was half decent but I reckon I could do a better job.

Everton would never have got past a full-strength United side, and failed to convince in the final against Chelsea
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they open the scoring in the first minute that day??

Yes, that tie when we absolutely annihilated them at the Emirates. That's positively Goebbelsian, tbh

Maybe his most infamous "prediction" was at the start of the 2006/07 season. He said United would come 5th - citing (I quote verbatim) "where are the goals going to come from?"

Ahh I see. I thought he may have been a desendent of City's 52 man squad. They turn up as pundits on foreign TV all the time.
