Thumbs up

Do it - instantly improves the defence, bags of potential, already used to the premier league so can go straight into the team. It’s a yes from me.

Saged it years ago.

I know a good CB when I see one.

Also - just for the record, to paraphrase Paddy Power - he really does look like he should be stood behind Draco Malfoy smirking.

I like him. Not sure he’s good enough for United though.

Although, truth be told, the qualification ‘good enough for United’ isnt what it once was..

£50m though load of %@#$&!s.

Currently it’s “are you better than Phil Jones or Chris Smalling?”

He has one of those squashed up faces like Chesney off Corry

This alone is reason not to buy him, we need to be buying more photogenic players if we want to capture the “shallow love island fan” market

Never not been impressed with him, but then I’ve only ever watched him against us so maybe not the best yardstick

It's almost as if scoring set piece goals against the worst teams in the World Cup completely inflates your real transfer value...

City would still have walked the league with Jones and Smalling at the back. No idea why it’s the done thing to pretend they’re complete %@#$&!s. They’re fine. Defence is the least of United’s worries.

Going forward is the main problem.

We dont create enough chances and dont score enough goals. How many times last season have we struggled creating chances against relegation fodder? Also there is no fluidity in our play in the final third. so called 'creative' players like Martial and Mata get away with murder with their piss poor performances and inability to make us tick...

But yeah blame the back 4 for that
