And who can argue with that - the results speak for themselves.

I think we'll see a few changes ahead of Tuesday night.

More like that the away results are no sparkling testimony to the effectiveness of 4-3-3/4-5-1.

We've played 4-4-2 in the vast majority of games away from home. Not sure what Ramone has been watching if he thinks we're going to start now that Valencia is back...

I’ll be amazed if we get out of Upton park with one point, never mind three. It’s a given that the game will be awful and our performance ‘workman like’. But with our injuries in defence, Evans suspensions and players getting back from international commitments, it’s going to be a very tough.

ignoring the vermin game, united's away 'form' (since the LC game at West Ham really) is actually pretty good, albeit largely uninspired. everything up to this point was just jostling for position though - and United are in a fantastic position...

You'll be 'amazed' if we get a draw........that's doomy even by doomyness standards.

This is tricky, yeah, but it's hardly the Nou Camp. We just need to be switched on. Whether or not we will be is the big question. I think it'll be a strong side. Quite a few players haven't played this week. Great to have Valencia back. Hopefully we can see him and the new Nani start to pull up trees now. Rooney getting back to form, Berbs and Pea in form, Vidic back (that's massive for us), I think we'll be find and I think we'll see:

VDS

Brown (Fabio if not fit)
Vida
Smalling
Paaatrice

Valencia
Scholes
Carrick
Nani

Rooney
Berb

Fletcher, Giggsy, Pea all in reserve if needed.

2-1 to us.

Wigan away was a very good performance and the first half against Chelsea was the best we've played away all season, so there were signs it was improving....

Ramoners doesnt watch the games. He has Rooney on player cam and fixates himself on Waynes fat arse for 90 minutes

Yes, but Rooney should have been sent off and that nullifies everything

Indeed, our first half at Chelsea was probably our best away performance this season. Hopefully, the memory of what happened in this match before Xmas can inspire a repeat

It's never really been a strict 4-4-2 without Valencia.
It's always been a case of Giggs coming inside & Rooney going out left...or Fletcher playing kinda on the right & tucking in a lot etc...
Other than that we have seen a 3 upfront of various shapes.

To be honest, our away performances have been so forgettable that I've banished most of them from my mind tbf

I hate to drop this bombshell on you all but Scholes is suspended.

Clearly it had escaped the attention of most but I've been dreading this fixture ever since he picked up that yellow against Arsenal.

Now somebody please predict a midfield that wouldn't fill me with dread.

How many games does he miss?? ...I thought it was just Bolton.

Like I said before, after International weeks I haven't got a clue who's fit & who's back in training etc..
I'm sure (whatever he might say to the contrary) Fergie will certainly have an eye on Chelsea midweek.

He got 2 games for accumulation.

Sandman, I appreciate the effort. As I understand it, however, Anderson is injured. Even if he isn't, Ando coming back for his first game post injury paired with Carrick post 2009 lobotomy.... doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

Van Der Sar

Brown Smalling Vidic Evra

Valencia Fletcher Carrick Nani

Rooney Berbatov

That line-up should be good enough to get 3 points from West Ham, surely.
