Very tough start, if we can get to Christmas in touching distance we will have a good chance

Moyes teams traditionally start well, so it's good to have the big games nice and early. Beating the Renters at Old Trafford in August would be a huge boost for the rest of the season.

Put the Special Fraud back in his box immediately, too.

All games between United, City and Chelsea out the way by March 1st. Sky won't be happy.

Happy with the start, tbh. We'll get a good idea of Moyes's bottle by his approach.

Any one fancy a bet that we'll win the league beating the dippers at home?

edit: it's possible if we have a good CL campaign. They might push that fixture back......mmmm interesting.

They'll be in the midst of CL knockout rounds will they not ?

Conveniently re-arranged for when they want, i.e. end of the season.

It's not the dippers we have to worry about - they're just as likely to do us a favour and then lose at home next game to Palace or some other crap.

If that start gets Sir David and the boys motivated we should enjoy a nice run in

Just trying to put a positive spin on an awful start to the season.

Moyes is probably quaking in his dressing gown right now. Sipping his coffee as the cup trembles in his hand; Nescafe Gold Blend spilling everywhere as he desperately looks for Fergie's number in his mobile.

How todays overall fixture announcement is being reported on in the press...

"New United boss faces nightmare kick off against Mourinho's Chelsea and trip to Liverpool after Swansea opener as Premier League fixtures are revealed.

If they don't get off to a flyer, eyebrows will begin to be raised around the country".

You won't see the country so unified in one objective, since the Olympics.
