I think the level of spending is fine, what it has been spent on has been a very mixed bag. Pretty much every season since Fergie left there have been deals that looked conspicuously better value than we were doing, we just look way off the pace in terms of player knowledge and more importantly knowledge of what people are available for.
Plus there are players we've got shot of that could probably have done a job, letting go of Zaha and Depay permanently rather than giving them a years loan to rebuild confidence stick out as prime examples. Letting go of Nani a year or two early given our continued hole at right wing and lack of pace. |

You can call Pogba, Jose, Woowoo all you like but whilst the club is run by tight arsed investment bankers who don’t give a shite and have no appreciation of the club other than its profitability.... this didn’t start with Moyes, LVG or Jose. It started a few years before Fergie saw the writing on the wall, when he replaced Ronaldo with Owen etc. steady decline started from European Champions to this. We won’t get relegated but this is heading towards the post-Busby debacle.

We've spent £650million on players since Fergie left having just finished 13 points clear, what does a non parasite level of spending look like? How much did the job really need? I'm not a fan of how the Glazers bought the club but getting beat by the likes of Brighton and Huddersfield and struggling to beat Burnley cannot be blamed on a lack of spending. |

Money has been spent. A lot of it. Throwing money isn't the issue. The lack of the right manager who can get the best out of players is the problem. |
