Default Gerrard name football writers player of the year

Incorrect decision.

Giggs was second.

Can't really complain about it too much if you take off your red tinted specs.

Over the WHOLE season (not just upto Jan/Feb like the PFA Awards) he has been one of the top performers.

He deserves it.

Giggs second, Rooney 3rd and Rio and Vidic were 4th and 5th(Can't remember which was round they were)

To be fair, it's the media and you can't really expect anything else to be honest. The media £#%&!ing love the skaus and, according to them, Gerrard is the greatest player who has ever graced the game so no real surpise. Let him have that award - he still ain't got a Premier League winners medal.

He had a nightmare against Torres at OT. That's why he didn't get it according to one of the journalists on SSN this morning.

Unsurprisingly he didn't mention Gerrard being handed his arse against Essien at Anfield last month

£#%&! the scouse @#%&! anyway. Let him have it. When he's telling his grandkids about his football career in 40 years time it'll sound slightly more impressive than the tv ads he's done which he is so proud of talking about.

Who cares. The PFA award is much more prestigious no matter what #@&%!-waving journalists tell you.

Football writers invariably know £#%&! all about the subject, so pay no attention.

Tbf though, on this occasion, there was a gnats %@#$&! between Gerrard and Vidic, given scouse sympathies and the fact he is an attacking player, probably the right decision.

Sportswriter on Sky this morning ?? McCarthy from NotW I think - said he voted for Rooney BUT Gerrard got it cos he was an example to all kids on and off the pitch as well as being a top performer!

Has you forgot Gerrard is still to face a jury for assalt/public order - guilty or not he shouldn't get himself involved in shit like that - when do you ever hear that of Vidic??

McCarthy also said their voting is more accurate cos it is done only a week or a few ago - so then even with what we knew a few weeks ago - Gerrard won £#%&! all this season - but along with Torres is a great player and kept the bindippers goign this season. Gerrard has played 40 games this season?? BUT how does that compare with Vidic played approx 52 games this season (and had 2 bad ones in that time) - part of the team that kept 14(?) clean sheets on the bounce - won Carling cup/World Club - semi of FA Cup - 4 points from retaining premier and in final of Champions league to be the first club to retain it??

Well done Stevie - let's see if this award is remembered when you retire

Default It's

all %@#$&!s.

SG is a great player (not Pele but he's bloody good) - but who cares if he wins this? It's a tin pot award voted by some shabby journalists - the PFA is the main award, let's be honest.

Vidic is always involved in "off field activities". Difference being, he kills everyone and eats them to avoid detection. I only know this because I was saw him do it whilst enjoying a thrilling helicopter ride around Alderley Edge.

No it isn't.

To illustrate: when we won the double in 1996, the footballer of the year voted by 'shabby journos' was rightly given to Eric Cantona. The PFA award was given to Les Ferdinand.

Enough said.
